Clinical Psychology Fees

If you think you may benefit from mental health support, book a consult with your doctor to discuss if you are eligible for a Mental Healthcare Plan.

Subject to individual circumstances, patients with a valid Mental Healthcare Plan may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Please discuss your eligibility with your GP.

Daytime consultation (50 mins) - $246.35
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm
$110 gap fee for patient with valid Mental Healthcare Plan issued by your GP.
 
Afterhours consultation (50 mins) - $276.35
Monday to Friday 5.00pm to 9.00pm weekdays & all day weekends.
$140 gap fee for patients with valid Mental Healthcare Plan issued by your GP.

ADHD Assessment Fees


    1. Initial Assessment - standard clinical psychology fees, as above. 

    2. Main Assessment - $770 (incl. GST)

This fee includes the ~50-minute consultation, as well as the additional 2-3 hours spent collating data and writing the report.

This fee is not rebateable with Medicare or private health insurance. 


    3. Report Assessment - this appointment attracts the below fees:

 

  • ADHD report assessment appointments commencing between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday attract a fee of $246.35.

  • ADHD report assessment appointments from 5:00pm weekdays or anytime on weekends attract a fee of $276.35.

This fee is not rebateable with Medicare or private health insurance.

Cancellation Policy

It is important that we receive at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This is because your session time is reserved for you and cannot be offered to anyone else unless sufficient time is provided to us.

  • Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of your appointment time will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of your appointment cost

  • Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of your appointment cost

All cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking and must be paid before you can book another appointment at Double Bay Doctors.

Unfortunately, if you are late for your appointment we cannot extend it. This ensures that we remain on time for the next appointment. If you are running more than 20 minutes late, you will be required to reschedule your appointment and a cancellation fee will apply.

Payment Options 

Double Bay Doctors does not accept payments by Cash.

Payment following your consultation can be made using EFTPOS (savings/cheque accounts) and most major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. 

At the time of booking your appointment, you will be required to supply your credit/debit card details (either VISA or Mastercard) to confirm your appointment. 

Payment surcharges equal to the cost of acceptance apply.

A surcharge of 0.7% applies to Visa/Mastercard Debit Cards, 1.4% for all other credit cards and 1.4% for all automated ecommerce transactions (when you do not physically use your card to pay for your consultation). 

No surcharge applies to EFTPOS transactions made using your savings or cheque account.

Please note that a 1.4% payment surcharge applies to all Telehealth appointments as telehealth appointments are processed through an ecommerce facility.
