Can I get my first or second COVID-19 dose at Double Bay Doctors?

No, Double Bay Doctors no longer offers first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Locate your closest vaccination centre here.

 

Moderna Booster Doses

The Moderna Bivalent vaccine can be used as a booster dose in people aged 18 years and older. 

​

Please note:

• The Moderna Bivalent vaccine is specific to the most recent variants, Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 

• It is safe for use in pregnant women and breastfeeding women. 

• The booster dose should be given 3 months or more after your second COVID-19 vaccine. 

• If you tested positive to COVID-19, you must wait until 3 months after your confirmed COVID-19 infection to receive your next COVID-19 booster dose.

A second booster dose (i.e., a 4th dose) can be given 3 months after you received your first booster to:

• People aged 50 years or older

• Adults aged 30 to 49 years, although the benefit for people in this age group is less certain.

ATAGI has not provided an update on 4th doses for patients aged under 30 years, or 5th doses for patients aged over 30 years.

You do not need to be an existing patient at Double Bay Doctors to receive a booster Moderna Bivalent vaccine.
