Lara Dee

Registered Nurse, Midwife

Lara completed a double degree Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery in 2012. Over the next few years, Lara worked as both a Midwife, and as a Nurse in an Obstetric Emergency Department in Melbourne. It was here that her interest in caring for high-risk pregnancies and managing emergency situations grew, which lead her to Intensive Care, where she completed a post-graduate degree in Intensive Care Nursing.

Whilst working in ICU, Lara continued pursuing her passion working as a Midwife. This involved caring for women throughout their pregnancy, labour and the post-natal period. Most recently, Lara has broadened her practice, undertaking further study to become an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), which will allow Lara to provide comprehensive advice on a range of breastfeeding and lactation-related concerns.

Lara’s aim is to guide women and their families through the journey of pregnancy, post-partum and beyond, by empowering them with the knowledge to make informed decisions, tailored to meet their individual goals.

Outside of work, Lara is kept busy by her young son, and very mischievous Labrador. She enjoys travelling, catching up with friends and family, and will never turn down a good restaurant recommendation.
