Cancellation Fees

HOW CANCELLATION FEES ARE CHARGED
All cancellation fees will be charged to the debit or credit card provided at the time of booking and must be paid before you can book another appointment at Double Bay Doctors.

GP CANCELLATION FEES

Please provide us with 3 hours notice if you wish to cancel or change your appointment with your doctor. 

Any cancellations or changes to appointments within 3 hours may attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the out of pocket fee of your appointment.
 
Below is a list of standard appointments and their corresponding cancellation fees. Please keep in mind that if your appointment is a specialised GP appointment e.g. advanced skin check, keloid scar treatment, medicinal cannabis, medical termination etc., your cancellation fee will differ from the below and will be equivalent to the corresponding out of pocket fee for your appointment type.

Please arrive on time! We value your time and we work very hard to keep our appointments running to schedule. Sometimes delays are unavoidable, but to assist us with punctuality we ask that you arrive for your appointments on time. If you are more than 8 minutes late to your appointment it may be cancelled and a cancellation fee may apply. 

PSYCHOLOGY CANCELLATION FEES

Please provide us with at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This is because your session time is reserved for you and cannot be offered to someone else, unless sufficient time is provided to us.
 

  • Cancellations or changes made within 48 hours of your appointment time will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of your appointment cost. 

  • Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of your appointment time will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of your appointment cost. 


Unfortunately, if you are late for your appointment we cannot extend it. This ensures that we remain on time for the next appointment. If you are running more than 20 minutes late, you will be required to reschedule your appointment and a cancellation fee will apply.

Should you fail to attend an appointment or are unable to provide us with 24-48 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment, the below cancellation fees will apply:
