DR MICHELA SORENSEN
B.Med, FRACGP
General Practitioner
Dr Michela Sorensen completed a Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Newcastle, before becoming a fellow of the RACGP in 2013. She has vast experience practicing as a GP across Sydney, and in rural and remote NSW.
Michela’s approach to patient care centres around three key pillars – sharing knowledge, supporting individuals and communities, and enhancing overall well-being.
Michela has an open minded, collaborative approach to health care and her priority is to ensure every patient feels listened to and empowered to be in control of their own health. She recognises the inextricable link between physical and mental health and ensures both are acknowledged and supported.
Michela loves all aspects of general practice, but has a particular interest in preventative healthcare, children’s health, women’s health and mental health.
Outside of work, Michela loves to relax and unwind by cooking, doing yoga or taking a long walk with her three babies (one being of the 4 legged and furry variety!). Michela also works within the media as a health commentator to promote access to accurate and reliable health information for all Australians.
