DR VICTOR WEI

MBBS/FRACGP

General Practitioner

Dr Victor Wei graduated from the University of Western Sydney in 2011 as a member of the inaugural cohort, and was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017.

Victor is a non-judgemental and compassionate doctor who has worked extensively serving populations of cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic diversity. He has developed a special interest in a trauma-informed approach to mental health and addiction treatment, and offers long consultations for counselling and psychotherapy. He has personal experience of living with disability and deeply understands the patient's experience of illness.

As well as being authorised prescriber of Medicinal Cannabis for various conditions (including mood disorders and chronic pain), Victor is well placed to integrate pharmacological, psychological and lifestyle strategies in the complex management of mood disorders, substance addictions and process addictions.

Victor is experienced in the management of chronic disease and preventative health, Paediatrics, Occupational Health,  Musculoskeletal/sports injuries, and has interest in the newly-emerging field of long-COVID management.

In his non-medical life, Victor had represented Australia in recurve archery on numerous occasions, and was also a not-so-successful basketballer and saxophonist. Since becoming a dad, you will find him spending time outdoors with his wife and daughter, meditating or waking up at the crack of dawn to smoke a brisket on his barbecue.
